Eligibility for Participation

Inter-school Senior Secondary Group

  • Full-time students currently studying in Secondary 3 to Secondary 6.
  • Each school can send one team only on a school basis.
  • Each team consists of 4 members, including 3 students and 1 team leader teacher.

Open Tertiary Group

  • Students from tertiary institutions.
  • On a school basis.
  • Each school can send two teams (with 2 students in each team).

  • Students participating in the event should form teams in the name of their schools and fill out the registration form for " " The Belt and Road:What Does It Have to Do with Me?" Comprehensive Ability Competition 2025"

  • Forms submitted via fax, postal mail, or email will not be accepted.
  • Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.

8:30: Launch Ceremony 
9:00: Expert Lectures (Experts and Scholars)
11:00: Q&A Preliminary Competition 
14:30: Final - Presentation
15:30: Award Ceremony

Morning:

Special Lecture on "The Silk Road and the Greater Bay Area: What Does It Have to Do with Me?"

  • Lecturers: Presented by multiple authoritative and professional individuals.
    • Themes:

       a. Policies - including the latest relevant policies such as the 14th Five-Year Plan, etc.
       b. Innovation and Technology - Digital economy and innovative industries
       c. Green Development - Green and sustainable development
       d. Others - including culture and other areas

  • Content: Elucidate the purposes, backgrounds, policies, industries, cultures of the latest Belt and Road Initiative and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and explore the opportunities therein, enabling students to set clear goals for their future at an early stage.
     

Preliminary Round: Quiz Competition on "The Silk Road and the Greater Bay Area: What Does It Have to Do with Me?"

  • The quiz competition will be conducted online.
  • The scope of the competition questions covers the content of the special lecture on "The Silk Road and the Greater Bay Area: What Does It Have to Do with Me?" held on the same morning.
  • The teams will be scored based on the accuracy of their answers and other factors, and the top 5 teams will be selected to enter the final round.
  • In addition to the top 5 teams, the teams with the highest scores in the four major categories will receive the Excellence Award, including: "Silk Road Questions", "Greater Bay Area Questions", "Innovation and Technology Questions", and "Green Development Questions".
  • In addition to the top five teams in this session, the secondary school team with the highest score that has not won any awards previously will be eligible to receive the Rising Star Award.
     

Afternoon:

Final Round: Theme Presentation Competition on "The Silk Road and the Greater Bay Area: What Does It Have to Do with Me?"

  • The teams will conduct group presentations on the themes provided by the organizing committee.
  • The presentation topics will be provided on the spot on that day, and each team will be given 35 minutes for preparation.
  • The presentations can be carried out in any creative form.
  • The order of the presentations will be determined by drawing lots.
  • The judging panel will select the champion, first runner-up, second runner-up, third runner-up, and excellence award winners based on the performance of each team.
